Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui

Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui was born in July 1959, in Rawalpindi, Punjab. His father, Aziz-ur-Rehman Siddiqui, was a social and political worker, who was the Chairman of Local Bodies and also served as a Qazi (Qazi is the Urdu for for "Judge").  Mr. Siddiqui went to CB Technical High School, Tariqabad Rawalpindi and then graduated from Gordon College, Rawalpindi. He then enrolled in the University of Punjab and graduated with his LLB degree. He then enrolled as an advocate in the district courts in August 1988. He became an advocate in the Pakistan high court on October 1990 and then, an advocate in the Pakistan Supreme court in April 2001. 


He was nominated to the post of the Chairman of the anti-corruption committee of the Punjab Bar Council for Rawalpindi district in 2007-2008. He was also a lecturer in Rawalpindi Law College for about three years. In his spare time, he has contributed articles to Pakistani English papers such as Dawn, the News, Jang etc. In November 2011, Mr. Siddiqui was appointed as an Additional Judge of the Islamabad High Court, to represent the province of Punjab.
